Public Speaker fear is a common problem that everybody faces while making a speech and presentation. It is a fact that face to face chatting is not very difficult for us but whenever a person thinks that he has to make a speech in front of a crowd then definitely this thought enhances anxiety. According to a research on this matter it has highlighted that about 40 percent of the population have a serious fear or phobia of public speaking. This type of fear is present is almost all the people, some have more while other have less but it is present somehow.

The common symptoms of public speaking fear are increase in the heartbeat, dry throat, dizziness, and blank mind, sweaty and shaky hands. Men and women mask their fear in a different manner. Normally the men start behaving arrogantly or start showing their strength. Women wrap their fear by becoming an introvert, less participation in the discussion, less social interaction etc.

Public speaking fear is normally high when we are going to make a presentation first time. With the passage of time when we gained some experience this fear reduces down but it is never ends. One can easily handle this public speaking fear by following some points.

Think positive:

Actually, the basic cause behind the public speaking fear is the negative thinking of a person. He imagines a situation where he stands in front of many people and he is not able to speak a single word. Such imagination may cause his confidence to drop down and thereby increasing the frustration.

Be Confident:

You always try to maintain your confidence in all situations.  If you want to build up your confidence level then follow a simple tip; after preparing your speech just go in front of a mirror and then start presentation. Repeat this process two to three times until you get the confidence that you are only able to make this presentation well than that of any other else but again don’t you need to be over confidence. The more your confidence; the less the fear is.

Feel the people away:

It is another strategy that you can apply for reducing the public speaking fear. Your fear is just because of the people to whom you have to communicate therefore you can lessen your phobia by feeling that no one is present in front of you.

Focus only on speech:

You don’t need to amplify your fear by thinking only about the general public just focus on the main message of your speech; prepare it in such a way that your message of speech will be desirable for everyone. No one in a public has an authority to slap you so don’t need to be so confused and frustrated.
